Make Do With What You Have....

My mom raised me to make do with what we had. Well I have been doing just that. I haven't purchased any kits lately and it is a major bummer, but if I can't afford it, I shouldn't be buying it. Right? So I have been using old stash and some of a friends...and created these!

I need the best of ME...in 2013

I have always been a lover of words that inspire me. And I need to fully understand these words and put them into everything that I am.  So in 2013 I am going to work on ME, yes I am going to be selfish because it is hurting every other aspect in my life.  I have been told that I need to put my kids first.  Well I am disagreeing this year!  I have been a Cruella lately and I really need to put some focus on me!  Mind, Body and Spirit!  Here are a few quotes that I plan to read daily!

"In order to move on, you must understand why you felt what you did and why you no longer need to feel it." -Mitch Albom

"on the other side of fear lies freedom"

"Always be kinder than necessary"

"Respect yourself enough to walk away from anyone or anything that no longer serves you, grows you or makes you happy"

"Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and focus on what could go right."

"I would rather be alone than pretend to feel alright"

I want to be my own hero, I want to be inspired and inspire.  I want to be present in my life!  I don't want my struggle to become my identitiy.  I want to be happy, have fun and not let life bring me down!
Here is to A New Year in 2013!

Kids Photos/No expectations!

My kids really dislike the camera; so I dread when it is time to take some pictures!  This year lil missy didn't want anything to do with the shirt dress that I bought for her and she refused to wear it; so we showed up at the Merry Farm with just her leggings and boots on!  HA!  Danielle has a way with lil miss; so she finally ended up putting it on!  Thankfully!  I don't normal expect everyone to be looking or expect anything spectaculiar, but this photo sums up my goofs in a nutshell!  This is what my expectations are!  These are my loves!!

And a photo I love of two friends! Everyone loves a good squish!

Currently my fave!

I know the weather outside is getting chilly around here, but these are two of my favorite summer layouts!
My boys love to ride anything with wheels!  Scooters, bike, skateboards, dirt bikes, go carts, 4 wheelers and in the winter snowmobiles.  Did I miss any? ;)
So when I captured my lil man riding his bike and wearing  his "riding pants" for his dirt bike... I had to scrap it!
This one brings back the night of the circus.  It was small and kind of cheesy; but it was so fun to see the kids watch in awe!  Love them!

Yetti Sighting....

While I was laid up with my knee surgery; I was able to get some layouts done!  Now that I look back, I should of taken a picture of me with my knee up and all my scrappy stuff surrounding me on the couch.  It was fun though, using only what I had on my lap.
My Yetti Sighting layout is my fave!  Easy peasy but fun!

This layout was lifted from Dear Lizzy's Signature Series!  Love my son in this picture!!  When I Grow Up!
I did do a few more, but I will save those for another day!
What do you think?

Slap Scrapping!

Here are a couple of lo's that I managed to do this summer!
I keep mine simple and quick!  I call this my slap scrapping.
I didn't think, just grabbed some papers and embellishments
and I slapped the items down!
Slap Scrapping is my style!  LOL!
My son turned 9!  Where oh where does the time go?

My Girl dressed like a little Punky Brewster!  I love it!

Ride Hard!
  I really like this layout!
I love that it came together so quickly with the colors
and that Enjoy the ride stamp was a perfect fit!

Dirtbikes and more dirtbikes!

This is how my summer has been!  I can't wait to sit down and get some of these pics scrapped!  I am having knee surgery in a few weeks and will be down for a few days and I hope to get some creative time in!!  Supercross and Motocross is so nerving and also a lot of fun to see these kids accomplish such a huge feat!  Because I stand outside in the pits looking at the track and it scares me!  Imagine being a 5-10 year old looking at these tracks!  These little kids have such determinatation!  It is outstanding!

He is a MACHINE!

I absolutely LOVE the layout above!!  I love that pattern paper so much!
Here is my lil man learning to ride a bike and a few days later he is hard to keep up with.  See layout below!

This lil 5 year old (who is in the lead) can really go!  I am amazed, impressed and SCARED that this 32lbs of boy is riding a dirtbike this quickly and with such determination!  He sure does give his older brother a run for his money!
I have not been in a creative mood lately and last night I had some free time and I whipped this up in 15 mins or less!  I love it!!!  Ok, I don't like the journaling card, but the misting and the patterns I do love!

What Snow?

This winter has been record lows in Southwest Wisconsin.  I for one love to have snow so we can go sledding, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, snowball fights, forts and snowmen!  BUT this year has been slim with the snow.  We did however have a light dusting of snow that was enough for us to have some great friends over for a tiny sledding party and getting pulled behind the 4-wheeler in our sleds!  The first layout is of the three girls waiting their turn to be pulled behind the sled!  The bottom layout is of my sweetie Ava who would play outside all day!
